Maverick's owner moved out and left him behind.
Not at a shelter. Not with a neighbor. On the street — along with Goose, the other dog who had lived there with him. The two of them stayed outside the house, waiting. Loyal to the end, even to someone who wasn't coming back. They had no food. No water. And when other dogs found them, they attacked.

That's when the call came in, and both dogs were brought to safety.

Maverick is a stunning black Doberman mix — the kind of dog that turns heads — and his energy matches his presence. He is high-octane, athletic, and full of life. He loves people wholeheartedly and does wonderfully with female dogs.
