Our Dogs Waiting for Freedom

Their Journey Starts Here
Every dog you see below is currently at Fundación DAR, our shelter in Tequisquiapan, Mexico. They've been rescued from the streets — pulled from abuse, starvation, and neglect — and are now safe, healed, and ready for the loving homes they've been waiting for.
For these dogs, international adoption isn't just an option — it's their only path to a real future. Mexico's overpopulation crisis means local adoptions can't keep pace with the overwhelming need. Without homes in the US or Canada, these dogs face an uncertain fate.
Our veterinary hospital has given them medical care, surgery, and rehabilitation. They're healthy, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and prepared for travel. Now they need just one thing: you.
Adoption Requires Your Help
International rescue is a team effort. Flying a dog from Mexico to the US or Canada costs between $400–$600, depending on size and destination. While we cover medical care and shelter costs, we rely on donors to sponsor flights and organizations willing to take multiple dogs at once to maximize impact.
If you're an organization that can take 4-5 dogs at a time or a donor who wants to sponsor a life-changing flight, you're exactly who we need. Together, we can get these dogs out of Mexico and into the arms of families who will love them forever.
