Olena was hit by a car and left in the street, unable to get up.
Someone saw her and made the call. We went to her, found her on the ground, and brought her in. Her leg was broken. She needed surgery, and she got it.

She is recovering now. She cannot move her leg well yet, but she is receiving physiotherapy and we are hopeful she will walk normally again. It will take time. More time than we would like. But Olena is still here, still fighting, and still — somehow — one of the sweetest dogs in the shelter. She is gentle with people and calm with other dogs. Whatever she went through on that street, she carries none of it in how she treats the world.

Olena is not currently available for adoption. Her recovery comes first. When she is ready, she will be looking for a loving home — or, if there is an experienced adopter willing to be part of her healing journey, we are open to that conversation.

For now, what Olena needs most is support.
