About Otis 🐾
Otis was rescued from a house where he had been tied up with no food and no water. He was just a puppy. He and another young dog were found together, both in the same desperate condition. Someone untied him. Someone brought him in. That was March 2023, and Otis was barely two months old.
He has grown up in the shelter. And despite everything that happened to him in those first weeks of life — the hunger, the thirst, the rope — Otis grew up happy.
He is playful, affectionate, and absolutely toy-obsessed. He loves people, loves other dogs, and has enough enthusiasm for life to fill an entire house. There is one thing to know about Otis: he is a food guarder and needs to eat alone. It is a small thing to manage, and a completely understandable one, given how he started life. Outside of mealtimes, he is all joy.
Otis is a pit bull mix — and he knows what that means. Dogs like him wait longer. They are passed over more often, for no reason other than how they look and the unfair reputation that follows them. Otis would like you to know that it isn't true. He is gentle, loving, and full of warmth. He is exactly the kind of dog people spend years looking for.
He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to travel to the USA or Canada for adoption.
If you cannot adopt, you can support Otis through virtual adoption — a monthly sponsorship that helps provide food, medical care, and comfort while he waits.
Otis spent the first weeks of his life tied up and forgotten. He has spent the two years since proving, every single day, that he is worth choosing.
