Rey was found at a gas station on a highway — wandering between cars, in real danger of being hit, with no one to claim him and nowhere to go. He wouldn't let anyone near him. It took several attempts before they finally caught him. He was four months old.

Whatever had happened before that gas station, Rey had learned not to trust easily. But the shelter changed that. He grew up there, and the dog he became tells a different story than the one he arrived with — playful, affectionate, gentle with people, easy with other dogs. Somewhere along the way, he decided the world was worth opening up to.

Rey has medium energy — active enough to keep you on your toes, calm enough to settle in at the end of the day. He loves people and gets along well with other dogs. He is the kind of dog who, once he trusts you, gives you everything.

He spent his first months dodging traffic on a highway, uncatchable and alone. Now he is ready — for a leash, for a yard, for a person who comes home to him.

Rey is neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to travel to the USA or Canada for adoption.
