Trufa's story begins with loss. She was just a few months old when she and her siblings were rescued from the streets — their mother had been hit by a car. The puppies were brought to safety. The shelter became their world.

That was the beginning of Trufa's life there. She grew up within its walls, watching other dogs come and go, waiting for the day someone would choose her.

She is shy at first with new people — that's just who she is. But give her a little patience, and something shifts. Her sweet nature comes through. Her playfulness surfaces. She loves being around other dogs, thrives in their company, and has a genuine joy about her that you notice once she lets her guard down. She's a beautiful shepherd mix with medium energy, and she has one more thing going for her that most people don't expect: she absolutely loves water.

She has grown up in the shelter never knowing what a home feels like. But she hasn't given up. She still plays. She still wags. She is still waiting — with more patience than most of us could manage.

Trufa is spayed, fully vaccinated, up to date on all shots, and has no known health issues. She is ready to travel to the USA or Canada for adoption.
